A carpet is usually defined as the textile floor that is used for the covering purposes and is generally consisting of a layer of pile that is attached at the flipside of it. That pile is basically made from the wool and the artificial fibers including, nylon, polyester and propylene etc often provided with the effects of the twisted tufts that are heat liable so that their structure remain unmoved. There are several types of carpets available in the markets but some people may interchange them with another word ‘rug’ but one should know that they both are not the same thing and they are entirely different from one another. Needle felt, knotted, and tufted are some types of the carpets. Other features may also be included in them to give a stylish and civilized look.
Carpet odors and stains are on of those major problems that keep your carpet away from looking spotless and smelling fresh. But one should know the nature of the carpet before cleaning them. Nylon carpets are made from synthetic fibers and it is often very difficult for them to clean unlike any other carpet. Wool carpets are so much durable than nylon ones so their cleaning should be care full and better while Polyester ones are most easy to clean unlike any other.
Before removing any carpet stains make sure that the stains are not seeping into the carpet and not becoming permanent. Use a wool cloth or a wool sponge and spill water on the carpet and try to remove the stain when it is wet and soggy. Run your cloth in circular direction and dab the carpet along with the addition of some carpet soap in the cleaning water.
In order to remove unwilling and non commendable odors of the carpets its better if you take them out for cleaning purposes. Spilled foods and drinks, stinky substances and dirt from the outside are usually the most common sources of the odors of the carpets. In order to get rid of such smells, clean your carpet gently with the help of the detergents and let it dry contentedly in the sun light. You can even dry your carpet by using a room fan that is piercing directly towards it so that the carpet dries hurriedly. When moving the couches and furniture from one room to another, it is highly possible for your carpet to get these ugly dents. They can easily be cured by the help of the elbow grease. Use a stiff brush and brush your carpet in a circular motion so that the fibers are pulled back and are straightened properly.
